Jurisdiction fact, citable as a text per IFP-22 Section 3. The ISO 3166-1 code in the codes field is the machine-usable form; IFP-21 subject_to declarations may carry the code alone without citing this entry.

United States of America (federal jurisdiction)

A principal declaring subject_to: ["US"] states that they are subject to the federal law of the United States of America — typically by residence, incorporation, citizenship, or substantial operation there.

ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code: US. State-level jurisdiction is declared separately with ISO 3166-2 subdivision codes (for example US-CA), which compose with rather than replace this one.

Jurisdiction declarations are good-faith disclosure, not warranty, and nothing in this entry is legal advice (IFP-21, Section 4).
